On Saturday, June 14, Penfield Children’s Center proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Community Baby Shower, bringing together expecting and new mothers for a joyful day of celebration, support, and connection.
This free community event welcomed mothers from Penfield’s Growing Together pregnancy support program, families participating in other Penfield services, and members of the broader Milwaukee community. More than a baby shower, the event was an opportunity to connect families with resources, build community, and celebrate the journey into motherhood.

Joie Baby, a proud partner of Penfield, donated strollers for participating mothers. Their commitment to supporting families and empowering parents throughout their motherhood journey helped ensure that moms left with not only valuable baby gear, but also encouragement and confidence as they prepare to welcome their little ones.
Kohl’s Cares and Penfield Building Blocks provided diaper bags filled with baby essentials, giving mothers practical resources to help them prepare for life with a newborn. These thoughtful gifts were packed with items designed to support families during those important first months.
In addition to these gifts, mothers received diapers, wipes, clothing, and other essentials donated through the TMJ4 Community Baby Shower. The generosity of the Milwaukee community helped ensure that families had access to items that can make a meaningful difference during the early stages of parenthood.
Families also had the opportunity to connect with local organizations offering prenatal, postpartum, and early childhood resources. Community partners shared valuable information and services, helping mothers build their support networks and access resources for a healthy start for themselves and their babies.
