GROWING TOGETHER - PREGNANCY CARE

Growing Together Pregnancy Support
Growing Together provides group pregnancy care to pregnant women in Milwaukee, combining education and peer support at Penfield Children’s Center. Once enrolled, pregnant women attend groups with peers that have similar due dates for a shared and supportive pregnancy experience.
Members can expect to meet several times throughout their pregnancy to receive resources, advocacy, education, and support, all in one friendly setting. Postpartum care and support is also provided.

– Support and education for all phases of pregnancy
– Giftcards, baby items and snacks at meetings
– Meetings are held at Penfield Children’s Center

Meet Joneica
A 17-year-old first-time mom, she joined Growing Together after her mother introduced her to the program. While still in high school, she attended meetings regularly, connected with peers, and received educational resources about pregnancy. This support helped her continue her education while feeling prepared for motherhood.
In June, Joneica gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Ka’Variaye. Postpartum, she continues attending meetings with her baby, sharing her experiences and applying what she learned from Growing Together. Joneica is now excitedly preparing to enroll Ka’Variaye in Early Education at Penfield, and we’re thrilled to have them as part of our Penfield family.
