In 1995, Penfield Children’s Center held its inaugural fundraising event, a Croquet Match that pitted the County Executive against the Mayor in a spirited display of friendly competition. Now, as we celebrate our roots, we’re returning to where it all began with this original fundraiser, inviting local companies to join us for a day of fun and camaraderie on the croquet field.
This event isn’t just about the competition; it’s a celebration of community spirit. Participants and supporters alike are encouraged to let loose and enjoy themselves while rallying behind their teams and showing their support for the children and families of Penfield Children’s Center. At the conclusion of the Croquet Match, two teams will emerge victorious: one for their skill on the field, scoring the most wickets, and the other for their generosity in raising the highest donations. So gather your team, join in the excitement, and help us continue the life-changing work that Penfield Children’s Center does for the children and families of Milwaukee.
Day of details
– The Croquet Match is on Wednesday, June 26th
– Event will be held at Estabrook Beer Garden
– Networking from 4:00 – 5:00pm
– Matches will begin at 5:00pm
– Awards 6:30pm
Team sign up details
– 12 team slots available
– Each team will comprise of 4 players
– Every team will have a $5,000 fundraising goal
– Each match will be 15 minutes

The prestigious Golden Mallet is a Croquet Match tradition, journeying from one victorious team to the next, until the next spirited contest. It is bestowed upon the team that demonstrates exceptional dedication by raising the highest funds to support the children and families of Penfield Children’s Center, leaving a lasting impact on the Milwaukee community. Presently, the esteemed Golden Mallet proudly resides in the hands of team Advocate Aurora Health.
