RESPITE CARE
Penfield Respite Care is a nursing program focused on providing holistic and inclusive medical care to children within Milwaukee. The goal of Penfield Respite is to ensure that every child receives the necessary medical care they deserve in a setting that enriches their lives and supports children to reach their potential.
Respite care ensures that parents are given the reprieve they deserve to ensure that they are able to provide the critical care to their children when they are at home.
Daily care provided Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
SPECIAL CARE
Experienced nursing care is provided to all children enrolled in the program who face chronic health conditions and other medical challenges that empowers them to enhance their quality of life and achieve their full potential.
Intensive Care for Children with Medical Needs
Penfield Respite is provided in an educational setting by a team of nurses, nursing assistants, and early education teachers, specially trained to provide necessary support to children with complex medical needs.
For Children Birth to 5 Years Old
Safe, inclusive environment for children with complex medical needs to engage in social learning and play. Care is provided by specially trained nursing staff.
Services within our respite care include:
Nursing assessments and care
Medication administration
Seizure monitoring and management
Tube feed administration, support, and care
Individualized treatment plans to support any medical needs
Support and access to Penfield’s partner programs
