Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Olivia Conte
Penfield is fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who bring energy, compassion, and curiosity to our classrooms each week. This month, we’re thrilled to highlight one of them: Olivia Conte.
Olivia is a junior at Marquette University studying Biomedical Sciences on the pre-medical track. With a long-term goal of becoming a physician, she is especially passionate about pediatrics, a passion that has only grown stronger since joining Penfield.
“I’m passionate about becoming a Physician and working in Pediatrics,” Olivia shared. “Since September, I’ve been volunteering at Penfield, and it’s easily been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences I’ve had! The staff is amazing, and working with children has only confirmed my passion for Pediatrics.”
Looking to get more involved in the Milwaukee community, Olivia found Penfield to be the perfect fit. She even organized a winter wear donation drive through Marquette’s Panhellenic Council, with contributions from all sororities. As president of the council, Olivia helped make this initiative a success, demonstrating her commitment not only through volunteering in the classroom but also by organizing her community to support Penfield.
Volunteers like Olivia make an incredible difference, helping create joyful, engaging environments where every child can thrive. We are grateful for her commitment and can’t wait to see where her path in medicine takes her.
