Penfield and MySwaddle Featured on Dr. Drew to Highlight Maternal Health Outcomes in Milwaukee 

Penfield Children’s Center and MySwaddle were featured nationally on Health Uncensored with Dr. Drew on Fox Business Network, highlighting the impact of the Penfield’s Growing Together program and the importance of coordinated maternal health support in Milwaukee. 

During the segment, MySwaddle President and Co-Founder Kate Grohall and VP of Business Development Kia Hussain discussed what it truly takes to close the gaps in maternal health outcomes for Medicaid populations — and how strong community partnerships are making measurable change possible alongside Penfield Children’s Center. 

The conversation highlighted the Growing Together program, which serves pregnant women across 12 high-risk ZIP codes in Milwaukee by combining community-based support with digital health resources and continuous care throughout pregnancy and postpartum. 

The first-year outcomes shared during the interview demonstrate the impact of this collaborative work: 

• 93% of participants began prenatal care before 13 weeks, compared to 53% in surrounding high-risk areas 

• 92% delivered full-term pregnancies 

• 88% had healthy birth weights 

• Zero maternal or infant deaths 

These outcomes reflect the power of partnership, early intervention, and ensuring families have access to trusted support systems throughout their maternal health journey.
