At Penfield Children’s Center, our mission thrives because of passionate individuals who dedicate their time, talent, and hearts to helping children and families grow together. One shining example is Aimee Erb-Jirovec, who is celebrating an incredible 15 years of service.

Aimee’s journey with Penfield began during her graduate studies in Occupational Therapy at Mount Mary University.

“While pursuing my Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Mount Mary University, I had the opportunity to tour Penfield with one of my pediatric classes,” Aimee recalls. “The experience left a lasting impression, and when a position for an Occupational Therapist opened after I graduated, I knew it was the right fit. Penfield’s mission aligned perfectly with my passion.”

Today, Aimee holds a dual role as Program Administrative Specialist for the Therapy and Birth to Three department, while still seeing a small caseload as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. It is a unique combination that reflects both her leadership and heart.

“I love that I can support my department administratively while staying connected to the families we serve. It keeps me grounded and motivated.”

When asked what motivates her to come to work each day, Aimee shared that two main things inspire her.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to support families as they work toward their hopes and dreams for their children. Watching children develop new skills and seeing the joy and pride in their caregivers is something I never take for granted.”

She also finds inspiration in the people she works alongside.

“My co-workers are amazing. Their dedication to the families they serve and to each other is truly inspiring. Every day, I see Penfield’s mission come to life through their actions and teamwork.”
