At Penfield Children’s Center, our team members are at the heart of everything we do. This year, we are proud to celebrate a special milestone for Casey Weedman, who is marking 10 years of service as an Early Head Start Teacher. 

Casey’s journey to Penfield began through a connection with an old friend and donor who introduced her to the organization. With a lifelong passion for working with children, applying to Penfield felt like the perfect fit. 

“I have always loved working with children since I was a child, so I applied and here I am!” Casey shared. 

As an Early Head Start Teacher, Casey spends her days helping young children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. For her, the most rewarding part of the role is the opportunity to witness those moments of growth firsthand. 

“Being with my kiddos each day and watching them grow and learn new things every day,” she said. 

That connection with the children is also what motivates Casey to come to work each day. 

“The kids. I love my group of kiddos. They are my everything.” 

Over the past decade, Casey has made a meaningful impact on countless children and families through her patience, compassion, and dedication. Her nurturing approach helps create a supportive environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and ready to thrive. 

Outside of the classroom, Casey has an interesting fun fact that many may not know. She is a dual citizen of Luxembourg. 

When asked what advice she would give to someone entering the field of early childhood education, Casey emphasized the importance of leading with both patience and care. 

“You have to have lots of patience and lots of love to share.” 

We are incredibly grateful for Casey’s 10 years of commitment to the children and families of Penfield. Her passion and dedication continue to make a lasting difference every day.
