Celebrating Creativity: 2025 Croquet Ball Poster Design Winners
Since 2009, Penfield Children’s Center has proudly partnered with Cramer-Krasselt (C-K) and students from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) to design the signature poster for the annual Croquet Ball. What began as a classroom project has grown into a cherished tradition—one that combines community, creativity, and professional mentorship to bring Penfield’s largest fundraising event to life.
Each year, students in MIAD’s Illustration IV class work under the mentorship of Cramer-Krasselt, one of the nation’s leading advertising agencies. Acting as art directors, the C-K team guides students through the design process, helping them refine their concepts and build skills that prepare them for future careers. The result is a collection of posters that not only showcase artistic talent but also reflect the elegance, spirit, and purpose of the Croquet Ball.

This spring, the Penfield team and event chair Phyllis King of Waukesha County Technical College visited Cramer-Krasselt to review more than 50 poster submissions. After thoughtful consideration, the winning designs were chosen:
First Place
Cyrill Reyes

Second Place
Liesel Barkei

Third Place
Julius Koo

Fourth Place
Kyle Woodfin

The winning poster design will serve as the official look of the 30th Annual Croquet Ball, and all four top posters will be featured in a special auction during the event. Proceeds from the poster auction, along with all funds raised at the Croquet Ball, will directly support the children and families of Penfield.
A Partnership Rooted in Creativity and Community
For more than 15 years, this partnership has provided MIAD students with a unique opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized agency while supporting a cause that impacts families across Milwaukee. Cramer-Krasselt lends their professional expertise, while the students bring fresh perspectives and bold creativity. Together, they create lasting artwork that represents both the Croquet Ball and Penfield’s mission to help children reach their full potential.
Over time, the collaboration has produced a gallery of posters—each with its own personality, design style, and story. From modern, graphic approaches to playful illustrations, every poster captures the timeless elegance of croquet while reflecting the evolving voices of new generations of artists.
A Look Back
As part of this year’s celebration, we’re excited to share a collection of Croquet Ball posters from the past 15 years. Each design is a reflection of the creative energy this partnership has inspired, and together they form a vibrant visual history of the event.
The 2025 winning poster by Cyrill Reyes will now join this collection, carrying forward the tradition of design, innovation, and community support that makes the Croquet Ball so special.
