Ways to Support Penfield’s Growing Together Program
Meet Joneica
A 17-year-old first-time mom, she joined Growing Together after her mother introduced her to the program. While still in high school, she attended meetings regularly, connected with peers, and received educational resources about pregnancy. This support helped her continue her education while feeling prepared for motherhood.
In June, Joneica gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Ka’Variaye. Postpartum, she continues attending meetings with her baby, sharing her experiences and applying what she learned from Growing Together. Joneica is now excitedly preparing to enroll Ka’Variaye in Early Education at Penfield, and we’re thrilled to have them as part of our Penfield family.
