Autism Services
Penfield’s First Connections program is specifically used to teach parents to address the unique needs of their toddler with autism. With the support of a trained interventionist, you will learn the skills and strategies to enable you to facilitate your child’s learning and development.
Birth-to-three
Penfield Children’s Center is a provider for The Milwaukee County Children, Youth, and Family Services Special Education Birth to Three Program.
Early Childhood Education
Our early childhood education programs provide high-quality preschool programing at no cost to qualifying children and families. Programs provide a rich learning environment designed to promote school readiness from birth to age five, fostering children’s language, literacy, and social-emotional development.
Mental Health
The Behavior Clinic is an outpatient mental health clinic that provides services to children six years old and younger and their caregiver. Our therapists support behavioral and emotional concerns along with providing therapy for children who have experienced a traumatic or stressful event.
Pregnancy Support
Penfield's Growing Together program provides group pregnancy care to pregnant women in Milwaukee, combining education, peer support, and medical care at Penfield Children’s Center. Members can expect to meet several times throughout their pregnancy to receive resources, advocacy, education, and support.
Respite Care
Safe, inclusive environment for children with complex medical needs to engage in social learning and play. Care is provided by specially trained nursing staff giving parents and caregivers peace of mind while they are away.
Special Care Nursing Services
Special care nursing services is a program focused on providing holistic and inclusive medical care to children within Milwaukee. The goal of Penfield Respite is to ensure that every child receives the necessary medical care they deserve in a setting that enriches their lives and supports children to reach their potential.
Therapy – OT, PT, Speech
Penfield provides early intervention occupational, physical and speech therapy to children in-home and at our center. Our trained therapist works with the child and caregiver to address concerns and provide individualized support based on the child’s needs.
