Celebrating the Spirit of the Season: Penfield Children’s Center Annual Holiday Party

This December, Penfield Children’s Center hosted its much-anticipated Annual Holiday Party—a festive and inclusive celebration of community, joy, and togetherness. As our largest family event of the year, it required months of thoughtful planning and the incredible support of volunteers, board members, and staff, along with their families, to bring this magical day to life.

Highlights of the Day

The party featured a variety of activities designed to engage children of all abilities, spreading holiday cheer throughout the center:

Multi-Sensory Room: Featuring adaptive toys, thoughtfully provided by Marquette University Opus College of Engineering, this space ensured every child could enjoy the holiday magic in a way that suited their needs.

Creative Fun: Face painting and holiday crafts gave families an opportunity to bond and get creative together.

Tasty Treats: Guests enjoyed delicious snacks that added a festive flavor to the day.

Lead-Safe Kits: Thanks to the generosity of Badger Meter and United Way, families left with kits to help create safer homes.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kohl’s for their unwavering generosity and steadfast support of Penfield Children’s Center. Their dedicated volunteer groups played an integral role in bringing the holiday spirit to life, helping to decorate our hallways and basement with festive cheer and tackling the monumental task of wrapping gifts for the children.

Thanks to their efforts, every child who attended the event went home with a beautifully wrapped gift, adding an extra sparkle to their holiday season and creating lasting memories for our families.
