YEAR IN REVIEW
2018 ANNUAL REPORT
Dear Friends,
As we reflect on 2018, one word comes to mind: passion. From the generous contributions of our donors, to the countless hours of dedication from our volunteers, families and staff, we would not be where we are today without your unwavering support.
Thank you for wrapping your arms around us and helping our children and families reach their goals, overcome challenges and learn in a safe, stable and nurturing environment.
Each day, we meet children where they are at that moment, and we celebrate what may seem to be small victories, but for children and families are truly major milestones. Our work is to help each child reach his or her potential.
At Penfield Children’s Center, we want to ensure every parent feels supported and every child receives the care and services he or she needs to be successful. Our holistic approach strengthens each child’s physical, social and emotional health by offering quality education, health and wellness services and family programs. We use evidence-based approaches to increase skills, access resources and support families.
Your commitment to Penfield is critical. With it, each of you are an integral part of these victories and milestones. Thank you for everything you do for us.
Sincerely,

Christine P. Holmes

OUR PROGRAMS
FAMILY SERVICES

Penfield provides events, support groups, workshops and school transition support services for families. A highlight of the year is always our Holiday Party that features winter-inspired crafts, music, food and a special gift for each child. Funded by the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, bilingual parent mentors work with families to provide information about Penfield’s programming and help with access to community resources.
- Penfield offered 31 family programs and events including celebrations, support groups, parent education workshops and family reading nights
- The 2018 Holiday Party welcomed more than 784 guests. Families participated in crafts, listened to live music and enjoyed a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Kohl’s Associates, La Macchia Enterprises and Northwestern Mutual donated enough gifts for all Penfield children and their siblings
